The word "Marangu" means a place with too many streams. This is one of the most popular places in Tanzania.


Early morning after breakfast you will be picked up from Arusha/Moshi to Marangu village where you will start a tour of Marangu village and visit the local blacksmith. You will experience the cultural acts in Marangu village such as local coffee making, local lunch, local beer made from bananas as well as Marangu cultural dance and its cultural norms which you will learn. After a few hours hike to Marangu/Ndoro Waterfall where you will experience swimming.


Marangu Falls are located in Kilimanjaro National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The source of the Marangu Falls comes from the glaciers at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. In about 6 to 7 hours, you can explore the adventure of Marangu or Ndoro waterfalls. About 40 minutes’ drive from Arusha / Moshi City where you can have a beautiful view of Mount Kilimanjaro (especially in Moshi), located in the beautiful countryside of Marangu surrounded by lush landscapes, you will find this hidden place. At the foot of Kilimanjaro, Ndoro Waterfall (Marangu Waterfall) is one of the most popular and largest waterfalls in the area. About an hour walk descending through the stunning green landscapes of the Chagga country (the largest tribe in Tanzania) brings you to this huge waterfall, here you have the opportunity to stand under the Ndoro waterfall, even jump from one and to go swim in the refreshing waters and take a well-deserved lunch break in the beautiful valley. This is a beautiful and relatively easy hike through the rainforest that grows at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. You can see different species of monkeys (black and white colobus), tropical birds and many others. The journey takes about six to seven hours.
